The simple fact is, if you want to get good at networking you need to get good at remembering people’s names. However, we all know that’s much easier said than done . . .

Great tip I also write or try and rememeber where we met ( which networking event)
Many people struggle with remembering people’s names. As the above comment says, I always write down pertinent info on the back of the business card. It’s also a good idea to phonetically spell out the name if it is a variation of a “regular” spelling, etc. Of course, everyone should be wearing a name badge at any business or networking event,- this helps the people who are “name impaired”

This is a fantastic video and an essential part of networking. There is a saying; “They don’t care how much you know, until they know how much you care.” There is nothing that says “I don’t care about you” like forgetting someones name after they have just told you, whether or not it’s intentional. A name is a bridge to valuable relationships. Great post, keep the amazing content coming Dr. Misner!
